In the same skillet, add the onion. Cook until it begins to soften, about 5 minutes.
Stir in the chopped cabbage, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Continue to cook for another 10 minutes until the cabbage is tender.
Return the ground beef to the skillet, stirring to combine it with the vegetables and spices. Let everything cook together for about 5 minutes to let the flavors meld.
